Free Public GED Class

Are you or do you know someone interested in attending a GED class at the James L. Hamner Public Library? We have partnered with Southside Virginia Community College's Regional Adult Education Program to offer a free GED course for adults who did not receive a high school diploma.

The GED, or General Education Development, credential was created as a second chance opportunity for many adults who have been marginalized or needed an alternative to the traditional school system.
