Come watch a free movie on the Library Lawn! Bring a chair or blanket for seating, and we’ll provide the snacks. The movie will be projected on a blow-up screen outdoors. This event is in collaboration with the Amelia County Sheriff’s Department, who will be on-site during the movie. Like many of our programs, the movie night is sponsored by the JLHPL Friends of the Library.
Youth Book Club
Our newest book club for middle grade-level readers! The club will meet every second Thursday of the month and will listen to the audiobook reading of Eragon. Draw Out Your “Matter”
Join us and graphic novel author, Laura Lee Gulledge, for a creative teen workshop called Draw Out Your “Matter,” a word and art exercise for dealing with your inner critic, expressing your self, and beginning journaling. This event is made for teens and young adults. Pen and paper will be supplied. After School Meal Program
The Library will offer free cold meals for students. Meals will include a vegetable, fruit, carbohydrate, and dairy. These meals are administered by the USDA and the Amelia County Public Schools.
